The Biz Bloke 1 on 1 Approach
Every business is different and has different needs. But many businesses have some core fundamentals we need to get straight first, and we start one step at a time. The entire 14 steps may take several years, depending on the size of the business. That’s business!
- Assessment and Discovery of your current business situation.
- Re-Set Your Vision and Goals: Setting clear goals and stating current pain points to get the business plan, vision, and your person needs aligned.
- Audit Your Time: Undergoing an objective time audit to uncover the hidden leaks in your schedule.
- Create Breathing Room: Creating immediate actionable changes to free up your time to work ON the business – rather than working IN the business.
- Acknowledge the Need to Change: You’ve done so much right to get to where you are. How do you accept that you also need to change? It’s not a choice – it’s a healthy part of doing business.
- Set a Realistic Time Frame: While some businesses can get quick wins, many businesses are already locked in for months ahead, so setting a realistic time-frame to achieve growth is crucial for your morale.
- Re-Establish Key Metrics: Confirm that you’re tracking the right information for your goals.
- Assess Current Procedures, and Automate Repetitive Tasks
- Implement Better Communication and Automate Systems: With time freed up, focusing on building stronger processes and systems so that the business can stand on its own two feet, without you ‘at the helm’ 24/7.
- Hunt for Profit Leaks and Opportunities: Analysing the financials and profit leaks in the business and creating actionable steps to improve profit reliability and focus.
- Delegate. Make Team and Leadership a Core Component: Building stronger teams through better talent attraction, retention, and up-skilling.
- Automate Knowledge: get knowledge out of your head and into a usable form to prepare for growth.
- Reward Success
- Create a Cycle of Growth: Formalize a pattern of improvement.
I’m comfortable showing this system here because it’s not just a 14-point guide to improvement. It’s a system that needs two to work: I can’t do this alone, and neither can you. It’s a system of growth, change, and effort, that is essential to your business.
Will you invest in yourself?

Hi!
You’ve made it to the one on one business coaching page. So what is business coaching, and when is it time for you personally to get business coaching? The thing is: absolutely everyone in small business needs a business coach.
The Loneliness of Leadership
You’re at the top of your organization, and it feels good up there. The breeze is nice. You’re on the top of the mountain. But as you know, it gets lonely at the top.
Who do you ask for help, and can they provide the help you need in a non-judgmental way?
The Role of a Business Coach
The thing is: everybody in business needs someone to listen, to challenge, and to keep them accountable, and that’s what a business coach is all about. Let’s break it into roughly four separate things that a good business coach should be providing you.
1: Listening Without Judgment
One: they should be listening without any judgment at all. That means that you can truly open up about what you need in your business and also how you’re keeping it separate from your personal life.
2: Challenging Assumptions
And two, they need to be able to challenge you and challenge the premise of what you’re saying because nobody else will.
Are you actually telling the truth about your analysis underneath your business? And are you actually making the right assumptions about where you should go from here? The business coach has been through business before. They’ve created the wisdom in the past, and they’ve learned learned from others as well. You see, business coaches didn’t get there without a business coach themself.
It’s a giant tower of business coaches over the years going all the way back through history!
Learn from that wisdom, stand on the shoulders of others, and you’ll be taller than before.
And these people can challenge what’s happening underneath and help you get to where you need to go faster.
3: Accountability in Business
Number three is all about keeping you accountable, and that’s because as a small business person, you have a lot of pressure from both directions. You’ve got pressure from your personal life and your business. And there’s a lot of challenge in keeping these two things separate and in balance.
Work-Life Balance
A business coach keeps you accountable by making sure that you’re achieving your business goals and also putting down that business at the end of the day so that you go back to your work life balance. Really important stuff.
4: Motivation During Tough Times
And lastly, number four, the one that no one wants to hear about, but the most important one is a business coach can motivate you if times get tough. I’ve said it before. The ABS says sixty percent of small businesses are going to fail in the first three years. Now getting a business coach pushes you that much closer to being a successful business owner, but there are still external factors.
The pandemic, government regulation changes, customer base changes, or just a recession. If things get tough for you, the business coach can be there to motivate you and help you find an exit path when the time comes.
Your Commitment to Growth
But here’s the thing. That’s what the coach does for you. But what are you doing for yourself? You need to put in the work, and that’s why business coaching is exclusive, and you must qualify for it. You have to agree to put in the work and actually improve yourself.
The Importance of a Business Plan
You have to have a business plan in place if you’re already running, or you need to be doing the business planning module at the time. If you’re not doing one of these two things, the commitment’s just not there and coaching is not going to be successful.
Stepping Up to the Challenge
And lastly, you have to agree to step up to the table, to put the excuses away, and just stay constructive and improve. It doesn’t matter how fast you go. You can go slow. You can go fast, but you must agree to be constructive and improve over time. So if that sounds like you and you wanna be one of that forty percent, the successful businesses, the ones that make it all the way, get in touch, go through the qualification form, and step up. And when you step up, we step up.
The Unique Approach of Andy Small Business Coach
And one last thing, why is it called Andy Small Business? Personally, I’ve been through a lot of businesses over the years as a business owner. And I’ve gone to business coaches, and it’s been great when I’ve been working one on one with their CEO. But eventually you get pushed on to a second business coach who’s one of their employees.
Quality Over Quantity in Coaching
And the issue is they’re just not as good. They don’t have the same wisdom, and they haven’t stepped up as high in business. At Andy Small Business Coach, the person you get with coaching is Andy and only Andy. There’s no outsourced coaching here at all.
That’s why the rate is high. It’s because the quality is high.
And I’ll ask you this last one thing.
Would you prefer three hundred business coaching sessions from a toddler?
Or would you prefer one business coaching session from someone who can actually help?
I’ll love to see you on the other side. Stay positive, work on yourself and apply and see if you’re right for business coaching.
